We collect information needed to provide Talk & Track, including your email address, display name, optional profile information, voice recordings, transcripts, Placement responses and results, lesson progress, and information about how the platform is used.
We use this information to provide and improve Talk & Track, operate your account, transcribe recordings, generate speaking feedback, recommend a starting level, save learning progress, and maintain the security and reliability of the platform.
When you submit a recording, your audio and related information may be processed by service providers that help Talk & Track provide transcription and AI-powered learning features.
For anonymous Placement users, provisional Placement data and recordings are automatically deleted within 24 hours if no account is connected. If you create or sign in to an account during that period, the Placement information is linked to your account and retained as part of your learning record.
We do not sell your personal information or use third-party advertising trackers. Information may be shared with service providers when necessary to operate Talk & Track, including services used for hosting, storage, transcription, and AI processing.
Contact form messages are sent to our support inbox through our email provider and are not stored as message records in the Talk & Track database. To limit spam, we retain a one-way hash of the sender's email address and a request count; expired rate-limit entries are cleared when the service next processes a contact submission.
You can manage or permanently delete your account through Settings → Privacy. You may also contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information and exercise other rights available under applicable privacy laws.
We retain personal information only as needed to provide the service and meet applicable operational or legal requirements. We use reasonable measures designed to protect personal information.
